We are Bob and Gerry McGuire. We
started in business in Santa Monica, in 1983 as McGuires Quilt and Needlework. In 1998 we moved the business to Arroyo Grande, CA on the Central Coast looking for a more relaxed life style. It was a good move and at that time we changed the name of the business to The Quilt Attic, located in the Villag

It was a good move and at that time we changed the name of the business to The Quilt Attic, located in the Village of Arroyo Grande. While in bustness during that time we started and participated in the Central Coast Quilt Shop Tour and attended many Quilt Shows as a vendor. In 2017 after serving the quilting community for 19 years it seemed we should retire. it was hard to say goodbye to our many friends.
In retirement you will find Bob repairing and servicing sewing machines. Just give us a call. We pick up and deliver in our local area. He takes on all brands of portable sewing machines including Singer sewing machine repair. And Gerry is busy Quilting on her Long Arm Machine.

Loving What we do , we take pride in keeping our customers sewing machines in good working condition. Many times all the machine needs is a little cleaning and tender loving care. Likewise Gerry just loves to teach quilting and loves to create a new quilter. So check with us as to when the next class is starting.
